English Garden

Spring is in the air, flowers are blooming and birds are chirping.  The front of my sister’s house is covered in bushels of white roses, which made the perfect backdrop for my English garden inspired ensemble.

This shirt dress has a classic striped background with dainty pink flowers.  The collar, buttons and print of the dress felt like something a proper lady would wear in the fifties, so I paired it with a vintage charm necklace and a mix of floral bangles and pearls.  The petite, quilted bag in a dusty rose color compliments the soft Spring feel.  I finished this relaxed look with striped, knotted sling back flats.

  1. That’s a very nice dress. It seems to be a seasonal dress. You know the type: layered up or over something else in the fall and winter and an easy one piece with accessories for spring and summer. Gotta love Marshall’s!

    1. Thanks for stopping by. I thought this was a fun, feminine dress and it was on clearance for $13! It is a great transitional piece for different times of year. Living in So. Cal, 95% of my wardrobe works throughout the year. Love your blog and look forward to your posts!
