Winter Wanderlust

I love layered ensembles.  There is an art to putting pieces together in way that makes them sing.  Color, scale and pattern all come into play when piling it on.  Southern California finally got the memo that its Winter and I was able to break out this coat I bought on clearance last season.  I love the ethnic inspired print and the faux fur collar is detachable, offering a toned down look, but who wants to be toned down?  The instant I put it on, this coat transports me to some luxurious snow filled destination.  When I’m wrapped in its embrace, I feel like I’m in the center of St. Petersburg or on a snow-capped mountain in the Himalayas.  A girl can dream, right?

I added a little edge with a tiger print shirt, gray and gold glistening accessories and a sophisticated chapeau to top off this is Winter wanderlust look.

I’d love to travel with you. Where is your wardrobe taking us?
