Orange Blossom

I’ve always had a fascination with kimonos. Hearing them described like a painting, while reading ‘Memoirs of Geisha’ made me fall in love with them even more.  I have yet to travel to Japan but I am enthralled with the brilliant designs, bold shapes and intricate details of kimonos and of course the graceful women that wear them.  I love how they tell a story and are bearers of families’ stories, passed down from generation to generation.  Until I can get my hands on authentic kimonos, I can wear these kimono inspired tops.  There are endless colors and patterns to choose from and they add that perfect global vibe to any outfit.  A little fringe never hurt anyone either.

    1. I’m just inspired by color! It makes me feel alive. I was able to get four different printed tops like these on sale last week. I think they’ll be a good staple for layering in the coming months.

  2. Japan is on my list tooo!!!!!! 🙂

    1. I love Japan’s street culture combined with very deep traditions. Looking forward to going someday.

  3. I love the contrast, the necklace really ties it together. Well done.

    1. Thanks so much! I appreciate you taking the time to share your opinion! All the best, Sheena
